Laser Treatments
Dentures
Depending on the density of your jawbone, you may not be an eligible candidate for anchored dentures. With traditional dentures, we can create natural-looking full or partial restorations to replace missing teeth. We take extra care to fabricate durable and realistic dentures that are customized to fit snugly and comfortably. Dentures can help to improve your ability to eat and speak, as well as create a fuller, more youthful facial appearance.
Oral Surgery
With a team of highly trained and experienced dentists, we are able to offer oral surgery procedures in our office, without the need to refer our patients to an outside oral surgeon. We offer dental implant placement, teeth extractions, and periodontal surgeries.
Dental Bridges
If you are missing one or more teeth, dental bridges can often help to balance out your smile. This procedure may be recommended for patients who are not eligible candidates for dental implants. Dental bridges are composed of an artificial tooth supported by porcelain crowns on either side to enhance strength and durability, and to prevent slippage that can sometimes occur with traditional dentures. The bridge fills the gap in between, creating a natural-looking result.
Porcelain Crowns
When teeth have become weakened due to damage or decay, porcelain crowns can help to strengthen and protect them. Crowns are custom-made to look and feel like your natural teeth. These restorations can be necessary to relieve pain and sensitivity caused by a heavily damaged or decayed tooth, as well as to reduce the risk of losing your tooth altogether.
Cosmetic Treatments
Smile Design
If there are multiple dental and/or periodontal issues that need to be addressed, a smile makeover may be right for you. After a consultation, one of our cosmetic dentists will be able to create a customized treatment plan, taking into account your unique facial structure. A smile makeover can consist of a combination of cosmetic, general, and/or restorative dental techniques.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
When fillings are necessary for teeth affected by decay, a tooth-colored filling eliminates the risk of mercury exposure that can be found in more traditional amalgam (metal) fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are made of a white, composite material, so they have the added benefit of a more aesthetically pleasing and discreet appearance.
Gum Reshaping
If your smile appears to be too “gummy,” gum reshaping, also known as gum re-contouring, can help to improve the balance between the teeth and gums. Using a gentle, virtually painless laser, our dentists can remove excess gum tissue to bring out more of the teeth and less of the gums. The non-surgical approach to this procedure through the use of laser dentistry allows for accurate treatment with a faster recovery and less discomfort.
Porcelain Dental Veneers
Porcelain dental veneers are a fast and attractive way to correct dental issues such as misalignment, chips, stains, and gaps. These thin shells are placed over the visible area of the affected tooth, and color-tinted to blend in with surrounding teeth. Made of an extremely durable ceramic material, veneers can often last for decades and provide a natural, balanced appearance to your smile.
Cosmetic Dental Bonding
Some of our patients opt for cosmetic bonding as a way to restore damage to their teeth from minor imperfections such as chips or stubborn stains. This process is often completed in a single office visit, and it can produce beautiful, natural-looking results. Cosmetic dental bonding can also be a good alternative to porcelain veneers in some cases.
Snap-On Smile®
For patients who want to make a cosmetic change to their smile, but cannot currently afford more advanced cosmetic dentistry techniques, the Snap-On Smile® can offer a temporary solution. Snap-On Smile® can also be used as a temporary way to preview what a more permanent cosmetic dentistry procedure might look like, such as porcelain veneers.
Teeth Whitening
With professional laser teeth whitening, you can remove old stains and brighten your smile with long-lasting results. At Dental Professionals of Fair Lawn, we use ZOOM!® and KöR® products to give you a beautiful, dazzling smile you will be proud to show off.
Skin Treatments
Itero Lumina
Discover the iTero Lumina™, a groundbreaking intraoral scanner revolutionizing implant dentistry. With advanced MDC technology, it enhances imaging precision, boosts practice efficiency, and offers non-invasive diagnostics, setting new standards for patient care and future dental innovations.
Damon System
The Damon System uses a self-ligating bracket system. This means each bracket has its own “door” that can be opened and secured to hold down the wire. This eliminates the need for the elastic bands that are used to hold down the wire on traditional brackets. Without elastic bands, the wire is able to move more easily and freely with less friction.
Invisalign®
With custom-designed, clear aligning trays, Invisalign® offers a discreet option for patients who are straightening their teeth. Many teenagers and adults prefer Invisalign® over traditional braces, because it allows them to straighten their teeth without drastically changing their appearance during treatment. The aligners are also removable for additional convenience.
Six Month Smiles®/Rapid Braces
For many of our adult patients, Six Month Smiles® offers a unique advantage for orthodontic treatment. Using clear brackets and white or tooth-colored wires, these braces are less noticeable than traditional metal braces.
Child Orthodontics
Children all develop at different rates, but it has been recommended by the American Dental Association and the American Orthodontic Association that children have an orthodontic assessment around the time they are seven years old. For most children, the first permanent molars and incisors have usually erupted by age seven.
Adult Orthodontics
With a team of highly trained and experienced dentists, we are able to offer oral surgery procedures in our office, without the need to refer our patients to an outside oral surgeon. We offer dental implant placement, teeth extractions, and periodontal surgeries.
Health & Wellness
Athletic Mouth Guards
If you live an active life, depending on the physical activities and sports you participate in, you could potentially be at risk for a traumatic mouth injury. Contact sports such as football, wrestling, and hockey can be made safer with one of our customized athletic mouth guards.
Laser Dentistry
With advancements in dental technology, we are now able to offer laser dentistry as an option for many common dental procedures. Laser dentistry allows for virtually pain-free treatment that is often more efficient than traditional methods. This innovative approach to dentistry also helps patients to have faster recovery times following major procedures.
Snore Guards
Similar to the sleep appliance used to treat patients with sleep apnea, our dental professionals are able to create a mouth guard-like appliance specific to your individual needs, so snoring can be eliminated or reduced. These appliances are designed to open the air passages for a more positive flow of air while sleeping, and they are customized for the most comfortable fit possible.
TMJ/TMD Treatment
Fear or anxiety related to going to the dentist is not uncommon, but in some cases, it can be a significant problem. Dental phobia often causes patients with extreme fear to avoid regular oral exams and cleanings, leading to gum disease and other serious dental problems.
Advanced/Non-Surgical Periodontal Care
Gum disease, or periodontal disease, is caused by excessive plaque and bacteria buildup, typically leading to sensitive, red, swollen gums. Later stages of the disease can result in loose teeth, bleeding gums, tooth decay, and other symptoms. Gum disease can also lead to more serious overall health risks if not treated, including stroke and heart disease.
Sedation Dentistry
Fear or anxiety related to going to the dentist is not uncommon, but in some cases, it can be a significant problem. Dental phobia often causes patients with extreme fear to avoid regular oral exams and cleanings, leading to gum disease and other serious dental problems.
Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is a very common and potentially life-threatening condition often characterized by excessive snoring and/or breathing pauses while sleeping. Other signs of sleep apnea include headaches, fatigue, and restless sleep.
